I find the idea of transforming an old, cracked and worn vessel into something new and beautiful through the creative process inspiring. The pottery itself is merely a starting point - the interplay of fabric, thread, and beads creates the material context that encourages meditation on individual elements within the overall design. This piece is about the transition of an idea into a work of art through the process of embellishment.
