Through the Portals in the Light

A serious illness and my inability to sew at this time led to my collaboration with Nancy Howard on this piece. The centerpiece of Through the Portals in the Light is a photo of Monhegan Island, Maine, looking out to sea. I tried to create a sense of light and use that light as a source of healing.
Rachel passed away shortly after our May 1999 quilt show. We miss her.
