Butterfly Quilt Top circa 1950

Hand pieced and appliqued with cotton fabric and some feed sacks. Examined by Mass Quilts at the New England Quilt Museum in January, 2010 and the documentation is with the quilt. It is circa 1950. We don't know who made it but there is some information on who owned it with the documentation.

Made by Harriet Sorenson of Connecticut in 1977. It was given to her son Mark and his wife Lisa as a wedding present. Mark unfortunately passed away two years after their marriage. Likely hand-stictched; needs minor stitching repairs; and some of the batting has shifted.
