Sandra Mollon is a California based textile artist.
With a long love of textiles, she is a master of traditional hand applique,
and has more recently begun making photo-based art quilt with stunning and award-winning results.
"River Rocks" is 49" wide and 23" high, and was derived from a photo by Ken Miracle with his permission.

Raw-Edged Art Quilts with Mixed Media for Realism
Using your own photo (contact Sandra 2+ weeks before the workshop for photo approval;
see Supply List and Prep Instructions for important information
and work to be completed prior to class)
or one of Sandra's patterns (SandraMollonquilts com),
learn the process of making a fused, raw-edged art quilt and enhancing it
with fabric ink, markers, color pencils or other media, and quilt to both enhance the texture and hold the fused pieces in place.
